Dr Russell Hearn

As well as working clinically he is also a Senior Lecturer in Medical Education at King’s College London where he is the Deputy Director of Community Education and Director of the BSc degree in Primary Care. He is also the Associate Dean for Pan-London Academic GP training and a GP trainer. In addition to his academic and clinical roles he enjoys being outdoors and is a Fellow of the Academy of Wilderness Medicine and runs courses on expedition and pre-hospital care. His achievements in education have been recognised with several national teaching awards including the Royal College of General Practitioners award for Outstanding Teaching. Dr Hearn was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal College of General Practice for his services to General Practice in 2019. He was elected a Fellow of the Faculty of Medical Leadership & Management, in part due to his leadership of borough wide clinical services during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Dr Josh Hill

As a student Dr Hill did a medical elective in trauma surgery in Chicago, USA. After graduating in 1998 he worked as a junior doctor in hospitals on the South coast of England, before moving to London, where he did a year of psychiatry.
Dr Hill then trained as a GP in Watford and did medical, gynaecology, paediatric and GUM/dermatology posts at Watford General Hospital.
He joined Morris House Group Practice in 2004. His special interests are :- children/babies, asthma/COPD, mental health and psychological therapy. He is currently training in injection therapy and cryotherapy.

Dr Konstantinos Tzanidakis

Specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon
Dr Tzanidakis is a GP at Morris House and an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon. He also works for Specialised Commissioning within NHS England. He has developed a special interest in Health Economics and he completed his MSc in Health Economics with the London School of Economics. He is keen to develop systems within the primary care that are both effective and cost efficient.
He is the the Minor Surgery Lead and the Learning Disabilities Lead in the practice. He is also a GP trainer.

Dr Jacqui Egleton

GP & Clinical Teaching Fellow
Dr Egleton studied at Cardiff university and completed her GP training in Essex before working in London. She joined Morris House Group Practice in 2014.
Dr Egleton enjoys teaching medical students and is a clinical teaching fellow delivering the Stage 2 curriculum for GKT School of Medical Education.

Dr Cathy Black

Dr Black graduated in medicine from UCL in 2008, and qualified as a GP in 2013 after completing her GP training in North East London. She also has a diploma in Geriatric Medicine. She has worked at Morris House Group Practice since 2015. Her main interests are food and cooking, foreign travel, yoga/pilates and swimming. Since returning from maternity leave she now works part time.

Dr Gino Amato

Dr Amato first started working at Morris House Group Practice in 1987 and has been here ever since.
He spent 15 years working in the Cardiology Department in North Middlesex Hospital and 20 years in the Dermatology Department there, so his interests reflect these two specialities. He also has a long experience of injection therapy for various painful conditions such as shoulder, knee and elbow problems.
He is involved with the training of trainee GPs and some of these have gone on to become practice partners.

Dr Huma Shams

Dr Shams joined the practice in September 2017 after completing her GP training in Bedford. Prior to this, she undertook her foundation year training at University College London and Royal Free Hospital.
She enjoys all aspects of medicine and has an affinity for dermatology and children's health. She is also able to speak Urdu and Hindi fluently

Dr Roshaan Saloojee

Dr Saloojee trained as a GP at Morris House Group Practice. Since completing her training she works part-time here as a GP primarily on Fridays.


Dr Sam Ashley

Dr Ashley studied at the University of Leeds before undertaking foundation year training in Grimsby and Hull. He complete his GP training locally and now has specialist interesting in Medical Education, Covid-19 and technology.

Joanne Courtenay

Advanced Nurse Practitioner
Jo has worked in primary care for over twenty five years. She qualified as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in 2008. Jo joined the practice in 2021 and is the team leader for the AHP team and safeguarding lead for the practice. Jo is able to manage all acute and long-term problems.

Dr Peter Magennis

Senior Clinical Pharmacist
Peter qualified as a pharmacist in 2009 and since then has worked between academia, primary and secondary care across a broad range of specialities.
He joined Morris House Group Practice in 2018 and provides clinical support to the medical team as well as delivering clinics for patients with chronic diseases.
He is the diabetic lead for the practice and also leads on a variety of QOF domains and locally commissioned services.

Gianluca Magagna
First Contact Physiotherapist
Gianluca joined Morris House as a First Contact Physiotherapist in 2021 and will assess and diagnose a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, giving expert advice, recommending the right exercise program and referring on to specialist services of imaging if necessary. He completed his BSc in Physiotherapy at the University of Padova in 2014. Afterwards, he has qualified obtaining his MSc in Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy and specializing in Musculoskeletal disorders and Evidence-Based physiotherapy Practice at KU Leuven, Belgium.

Rhys Hislop
Primary Care Paramedic
Rhys graduated from Anglia Ruskin University in 2019 with a BSc (Hons) in Paramedic Science.
In addition to seeing urgent care patients in GP he is adept at managing muscular skeletal problems and minor injury's and illness' . He has an interest in Ear nose and throat and wound management.

James Hibbert
Primary Care Paramedic
James graduated from St George's University in London in 2020, and works across our Primary Care Network. He is interested in acute and ambulatory care and is currently undertaking postgraduate study at The University of Edinburgh part-time.
He has also led on home Covid vaccinations.

Owen Jones
Primary Care Paramedic
Owen is paramedic at Morris House. He graduated from Anglia Ruskin in 2021 and since qualifying he has joined the Morris House Team.

Charm Shepherd
Practice Nurse
Charm Joined the practice in 2016 and since then has become the primary nursing provision.
She looks after the childhood immunisations, dressings and the travel clinic.


Gill
Healthcare Assistant
Gill has been with Morris House Group Practice for over 30 years. She enjoys seeing patients in her role as a healthcare assistance and helping to manage the clinic facilities.

Annalize
GP Assistant
Annalize graduated from the University of Leeds with a BSc (Hons) in Medical Biochemistry. Her interests are in Pathology and Clinical Oncology for which she is currently pursuing her MSc in, she also volunteers as an NHS Health Ambassador to understand the impact of NHS services on patients and how they can be improved.
Annalize joined the Morris House Group Practice in 2021 as the General Practice Assistant and provides clinics for stroke patients, as well as supporting immunisation programmes. She also processes pathology results and clinical letters.
