Dr Russell Hearn

Dr Hearn trained at the Royal Free & University College Medical School, London. Dr Hearn provides joint injection and is the lead for clinical domains including osteoporosis, Rheumatoid arthritis, prescribing, mental health and learning disabilities.

As well as working clinically he is also a Lecturer in Medical Education at King’s College London where he is the Deputy Director of Community Education; Director of the iBSc degree in Primary Care; and Module lead Doctor as Teacher. He is also the Pan-London Academic GP training programme director and a GP trainer. In addition to his academic and clinical roles he enjoys being outdoors and is a Fellow of the Academy of Wilderness Medicine and runs courses on expedition and pre-hospital care. His achievements in education have been recognised with several national teaching awards including the Royal College of General Practitioners award for Outstanding Teaching. Dr Hearn was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal College of General Practice for his services to General Practice in 2019.
 

Dr Russell Hearn

Dr Gino Amato

Dr Amato first started working at Morris House Group Practice in 1987 and has been here ever since.
He spent 15 years working in the Cardiology Department in North Middlesex Hospital and 20 years in the Dermatology Department there, so his interests reflect these two specialities. He also has a long experience of injection therapy for various painful conditions such as shoulder, knee and elbow problems.

He is involved with the training of trainee GPs and some of these have gone on to become practice partners.

Dr Sue Moorthy

Dr Moorthy qualified from University College London 1996 with merit and went on to do GP training on the North Herts GP training scheme, qualifying in 2000. During her GP training she attained Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Diploma of Child health and the MRCGP (merit).

Following GP training she traveled around South America and worked in Queensland, Australia before returning to become a GP partner in Morris House Group Practice in 2002.

Her clinical interests in General Practice include Diabetes and its complications. Dr Moorthy is enthusiastic about GP education and is currently a programme director for the local GP training scheme, a GP trainer and a GP appraiser.

Dr Josh Hill

As a student Dr Hill did a medical elective in trauma surgery in Chicago, USA. After graduating in 1998 he worked as a junior doctor in hospitals on the South coast of England, before moving to London, where he did a year of psychiatry.

Dr Hill then trained as a GP in Watford and did medical, gynaecology, paediatric and GUM/dermatology posts at Watford General Hospital.
He joined Morris House Group Practice in 2004. His special interests are :- children/babies, asthma/COPD, mental health and psychological therapy. He is currently training in injection therapy and cryotherapy.

Dr Emily Simon

Dr Emily Simon graduated from the University of Manchester in 2003. She started training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Barnet Hospital before switching to train in General Practice at the North Middlesex hospital. She gained Membership to the Royal College of GPs in 2009.  She has a special interest in Women’s health, and holds diplomas in both Gynaecology and in Sexual and Reproductive health. She runs a family planning clinic at Morris House Group Practice on a Monday afternoon, and is currently training in psychosexual medicine. She teaches sexual health courses to other GPs and enjoys teaching medical students and colleagues. She loves General Practice and finds it an honour to look after patients right through from birth to old age.

Dr Jacqui Egleton

Dr Egleton studied at Cardiff university and completed her GP training in Essex before working in London. She joined Morris House Group Practice in 2014. She enjoys teaching medical students.

Dr Cathy Black

BSc, MBBS, DGM, MRCGP

Dr Black graduated in medicine from UCL in 2008, and qualified as a GP in 2013 after completing her GP training in North East London. She also has a diploma in Geriatric Medicine. She has worked at Morris House Group Practice since 2015. Her main interests are food and cooking, foreign travel, yoga/pilates and swimming. Since returning from maternity leave she now works part time.

Dr Huma Shams

Dr Shams joined the practice in September 2017 after completing her GP training in Bedford. Prior to this, she undertook her foundation year training at University College London and Royal Free Hospital.
She enjoys all aspects of medicine and has an affinity for dermatology and children's health. She is also able to speak Urdu and Hindi fluently

Dr Gemma Constable

Dr Constable trained at University College London. She always knew she wanted to be a GP and went straight into training, qualifying as a GP in 2009. As part of her training she worked in a hospice and has continued to develop and work in the area of palliative care. She has worked in East London for the last 10 years and has recently joined the Morris House Group Practice team.

Dr Nadina Hussain

Dr Hussain graduated from Queen Mary University of London in 2006 and completed her GP specialty training in 2011 under the Oxford Deanery. She has an interest in diabetes and has obtained the ‘Warwick Certificate in Diabetes Care’ in 2014. She has also obtained the ‘Diploma in Family, Sexual and Reproductive Health’ in 2011. 
Dr Hussain is also a GP educator and is involved with teaching medical students from Kings College London. 

Dr Katherine Lloyd

Dr Lloyd graduated from Nottingham University in 2008. She worked at the North Middlesex and Chase Farm hospitals before moving into general practice. She joined Morris House in 2017. 

She has qualifications in tropical medicine and international health with special interests including HIV, TB and refugee health.

In addition to working for Morris House Group Practice, Dr Lloyd also works for several NGOs helping to improve healthcare in resource poor settings.

Dr Roshaan Saloojee

Dr Saloojee trained as a GP at Morris House Group Practice. Since completing her training she works part-time here as a GP.

Dr Konstantinos Tzanidakis

Specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon

Dr Tzanidakis is a GP at Morris House and also has a dual qualification as a doctor of medicine and a dentist. He has trained as an Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon and he is on the Specialist Register of the General Medical Council and the General Dental Council. He has developed a special interest in Health Economics and he completed his MSc in Health Economics with the London School of Economics. He is keen to develop systems within the primary care that are both effective and cost efficient.

Joshua Martin

Primary Care Paramedic

Joshua graduated from St George's University in London and has always been interested in GP and medical education.

In addition to seeing urgent care patients in GP he is adept at managing pediatric care and chronic asthma management.

Dr Peter Magennis

Practice Pharmacist

Peter qualified as a pharmacist in 2009 and since then as worked between academia, primary and secondary care across a broad range of specialities. 

He joined Morris House Group Practice in 2018 and provides clinical support to the medical team as well as providing clinics for patients with chronic diseases. 

His clinical areas of interest are asthma, diabetes and anticoagulation. He manages the practice warfarin clinic.

Outside of work he enjoys exercise and fitness.

Charm Sheperd

Head Nurse

Charm Joined the practice in 2016 and since then has become the primary nursing provision. She looks after the childhood immunisations, dressings and the travel clinic.

Gill

Healthcare Assistant

Gill has been with Morris House Group Practice for over 30 years. She enjoys seeing patients in her role as a healthcare assistance and helping to manage the clinic facilities.

Mary supports the clinical teach as a healthcare assistant by seeing patients and working on reception.

Rhys Hislop

Rhys graduated from St George's University in London and has always been interested in GP care.

In addition to seeing urgent care patients in GP he is adept at managing musculoskeletal problems.
