Joint injections at the practice are carried out by Dr Russell Hearn, Dr Tzanidakis
and Dr Gino Amato.
Joint injections are used as a temporary method to reduce painful or stiff joints which allows people to exercise more and continue with their normal daily routines. The treatment involves the injection of steroids with or without a local anaesthetic into the affected joint. The relief is not immediate and can take several weeks to see an improvement.
If you would like to discuss if this treatment could help you please make an appointment with any GP at the practice.
